Thread: Scuttle use

The only thing I would add is when you lather on your face you get a more dense lather. When you use the scuttle its easy to wip it up too much which can dry it out and make it thinner. To me the scuttle supposedly gives you warm lather and that's its main claim to fame. The older scuttles were a different animal they wre used to directly heat the soap and make the lather in one operation.
