Well here's a bite of information for you. The bottle on the far left is the original British Marmite that has had to be renamed for sale in Australia to Our Mate due to the Kiwi's having the rights to sell their product as Marmite with permission from Britain. They are both different 'mites though, with my preference going to the British original over the N.Z version. The Kiwi version is sweeter, as well as different in other ways that I can't really explain. I like the taste of British Marmite over all the other 'mites but I don't like the slightly runny consistency. It's like treacle. I like the less runny consistence offered by all the others pictured with the middle ground going to Mighty Mite.
That should be enough to chew on for now I reckon. :)

I think the thing with the mites, is the first one you try, you tend to like, can't stand vegemite, or the English marmite. Vegemite tasted sweet to me, English mite tasted like bovril. Haven't tried the others.
What 'mite do you like then Grazor? My photo isn't a complete list of the 'mites out there, and I would have thought the New Zealand Promite would have been on your too sweet list, since it's far sweeter than Vegemite (which is also Kiwi owned these days, just in case you didn't know ;) ).

Marmite by sanitarium was the first I tried, so it is the only one I like although I haven't tried many, three all up. When we had the earthquake in Christchurch a few years back, it put the factory where they make our Marmite out of production. It quickly disappeared off the shelves, and people were flogging it off for about 5 x the original price on our local T&E website, that's how good it is ;)
