Woodford reserve or double oak is my go to sipping bourbon. Buffalo Trace is a close second and just happens to be distilled by the same folks that make Woodford. Less complex but still a very good bourbon for the price point. Scotch, that is deep rabbit hole. Oban 14 and Macallan 12 are my staples but you can try a different bottle every month for a few years before you get back to the beginning again. If you want to go to cask strength, Booker bourbone is a good one, as is George T. Stagg

Bulleit is definitely one of my favourites, McKenna is another I like. Not a fan of Scotch, but can't resist a good Bourbon. The choices of Bourbon are a bit limited here.

Ok so this one I had to show off it is from Portland Oregon and has taken 1st place in several of the last competitions it has been in. It is smooth very oaky and a caramel overtone that will blow your mind. Hold on to your wallet though it is very pricy at $50 a pint. Bought one for my old man thought he was going to wet himself when he tried it.
