Thanked: 250Try using a lower heat setting when you fry. It may take a little longer to cook your meal but works wonders for me. Another thing I've noticed is that one of my Wagners is very particular about the kind of bacon I fry in it. Under higher heat maple sugar cured bacon will stick like super glue even though this skillet is completely seasoned. I think it may have something to do with the sugar carmelizing. For you Dutch oven guys, a real treat is to use that Dutch oven as a deep fryer to whip up a batch of potato chips.

Thanked: 481Satan never met a man with a streak of Appalachian (Redneck) Ingenuity. I've got chains and an engine hoist, where there's a will there is a way.
I might need to rig something up for that big ol' pan I just got. Either that or take out the sanding wheels and eat about half of it away, cause that puppy is unreasonably heavy.

Thanked: 1160Here's how I figure it..... (Simpsonian Logic)
1) I eat lot's of pork .
2)I use cast iron every day
3) I use a practice cutlass every day now that weighs about 1 1/2 lbs. balanced for HEMA Fencing.
Result : I have strong arms and I won't live to see 75 probably therefore , I'll give out before my arms will.......I win,..... in your face Satan's Ice box ???Come along inside,We'll see if tea and buns can make the world a betterplace.~TheWind in the Willow~

did you take anything off the lodge when you first got it? i.e. strip their factory "seasoning" before doing your own?
