Heya Tathra . Yeah I've got a mate who reckons he'd rather eat an old boot but he does'nt know how to Ike Jime a fish.
It was fun. He spent more time in the air than the water. Wasn't too hard to land . A tailor (bluefish) of the same size would pull the spots off a kahawai. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanked: 4206With Prime rib on sale,, why not.
Small enough for three.
Smoke at 220 for an hr, then let the temp climb till the core hits 122.
Then a half hr rest. Done in 3.5 hrs.
With mini Yorkshire Puddings.

Yep....it sure looks good.! Quite balanced, as well, kinda.
I just found out last Tuesday, after being hospitalized for another heart attack., that I'm now....diabetic. Goodbye to all the white stuff.
Watch your carbs, guys, its what got me in trouble in the last 2 years. Was no sign of it in my blood tests, back then, but my blood glucose was over 300, this time.
But I'm allowed to still enjoy all meats, cept bacon and sausage. My cholesterol is through the roof, as well.
Protien and fiber diet, for me. No more starches... from pasta, bread, anything white, is gone...
So smoke on, gentleman, it tastes guud, and guud fer ya, and your body.Mike

Jesus Mike, are you OK?
I've been diabetic for 10 years now, it's not so bad if you don't take your sugar- - Steve

Thanked: 4206Strategic balance on the spuds was required for such a bottom skinny roast but it worked.
I’ve had genetic high cholesterol, diagnosed for 15 years now and on Lipitor for it.
Keeps me fluid..
And eating what I want.
Cheers.."Depression is just anger,, without the enthusiasm."

I'm on Crestor too.
Well, Rosuvostatin which is the generic one, I pay cash for my meds and actual Crestor brandname is too expensive.
The Rosuvostatin is about $35 Can for 90 days, I need 5mg but get 10mg and cut them in half because they are the same price all but $5 and I get 180 days from them.
I do the same with my blood pressure meds, Candarstin. I take 16mg but get 32mg and cut them in half so I only get them every 6 months.
What did you get for your new diabetes, I have Metformin but it can be hard on your stomach, luckily nothing bothers me, I got the consitution of a goat.Last edited by STF; 12-20-2021 at 06:57 PM.

10 mg Farxiga...dapagliflozin. Once daily
500 mg metFORMIN. 2 Times daily
5 Units of insulin ( NovoLOG 70/30 ) twice daily. Before breakfast and dinner.
I take a total of 10 pills, every morning, and 3 every night.
Plus the two injections.
Working up meals has been the fun part. Not much I can eat at the moment, just had the rest of my rotting teeth pulled and fitted with dentures, the same day as my heart attack.
With..
Without..
Sucks....I'm back on blood thinners..again, right at the beginning of winter. Brrrrr.!
Thank God for food processors..Mike
