I would gladly help fund that. Many thanks again for the delicious treats you sent for the meet, Roy.

Yesterday my son and I celebrated his birthday a bit early.
I was lacking in taking a lot of pics of the meal but I hope these will suffice--

AN ice cream maker!! You guys have all the good toys.
Well over 40 years ago I purchased a White Mountain 4 qt hand cranked ice cream maker--I still have it and while it's a bit 'worn' it still works.
However my main cranking shoulder doesn't like the cranking and I found that they had the electric drive on sale for about $80-$90 with shipping included-so I ordered it---there wasn't any mention that they had slightly changed the design about 6 years ago and it wouldn't fit my old maker. I contacted the company and that's how I learned about the changes. I was told that I could return the drive for a refund BUT I had to pay to ship it back. I said F.I. and just kept the drive.
A year or so later they had a great sale (I 'think' it was 50% off) of the hand cranked unit so I bought it (shipping included) and the electric fits perfectly.
The main ding that I'd give the manufacturer is that the fitting of the gears on their hand crank are no where near the quality of the old one. But I doubt that I'll be hand cranking anytime soon. :w
This is the new 4 Qt (factory picture) that bought---------

At the threshing show at Forest City IA the ice cream stand is a big hit.
Good entertainment is using the scale model tractors to power the ice cream maker.
One time my friend and I hooked up his 1/3 scale 1915 case with the flat belt and made the ice cream for everyone.
Talk about Big Boys and Their Toys!
:rofl2:
A little more Rube Goldberg.
As some may suspect--I do like my desserts--
I used mini pans instead of one 9". Two went home with my kids, one stayed here at the Boars Nest.

And to think that I 'was' so proud that I knew how to make a French Omelet. I"m such an amateur

While this is for many servings I suppose it could be done at home with the right pan. Now, whose going to make me one? :rofl2:
This takes awhile to watch but I do hope all will enjoy it.
