Anything by Ballast Point is great. My favorites are Sculpin and Grapefruit Sculpin but I've never tried anything bad by them. I've never tried this one before but I might have to check it out

I hadn't considered them until i read your post. Local mart has the pineapple and grapefruit sculpin. Ill be trying those eventually.

The Watermelon Dorado is nice. The watermelon flavor is pretty robust.. almost a jolly rancher flavor without the sweetness. I like it. If you dont mind an alt note in your beer go for it.

Sweetwater hop hash. Great double ipa. Sweetwater has a lot of great brews.

The wife brought a 12 pack of New Belgium beer home from the store today. It looks like an assortment of IPAs. I opened one called Ranger. The label has a picture of a forest rangers hat filled with hops.

Today's Beer of the Day is RyePA from New Belgium Brewery. It's alright but my favorite from the variety pack is the 1554 Black Lager.

Ha! I've had that stuff too. If I recall correctly, it wasn't half bad!

    Default The Stoic 2015

The Stoic 2015 - ABV 11% - Belgian Styled Quad - Deschutes Brewery Bend Oregon

The stoic malt beverage brewed with pomegranate with 16.5% being aged in oak wine barrels and 16.5% being aged in oak rye whiskey barrels.

Amber red/orange, cloudy, full bodied, little head, caramel, floral, lots of fruit, white grape/wine, oak. I do taste the oak but not so much the whiskey. Being a hardcore Belgian beer drinker I would say it's not bad at all for an American made beer but it does miss smoothness at the finish and balanced finesse. It does pack a punch.

A friend left this bottle at the house last weekend. Inspired by recent posts, I decided to crack it open this evening.
