Thank you Bela very much for these useful information.
But which is the main difference in the taste?

Thanked: 485Slur, how did you like the raw tea? I'm a little unsure myself. I keep thinking I should have eaten some steamed dim sims first...I also find it a little earthy. I think I like the Silver Needle better. I'm not sure I'd buy another cake, unless to see if they differ a lot.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

It was really strong and earthy. Maybe too much. Not an everyday tea, but just for special occasions, when I need something really strong, once a week for example.
The second time I brewed pu erh I followed Bela’s instructions regarding reducing the quantity of the tea to brew but also the total amount of tea to drink. It was much better this time.
I usually prepare large quantities of tea but pu erh is to drink maximum 3-4 small cups, not 10 to 15 as I usually do.
Since I am new in pu erh tea I thing I need some time to feel its essence.
Silver needle and white tea is also my favorite Carl.
This one, and some jasmine tea are my everyday choice and I really like them. However, there are some times that I need something stronger. These times I used to brew black tea like Grand Yunnan Imperial, but pu erh is much more intense. I am sure that I will try more varieties in the near future, both ripe and raw.
Another mysterious tea to explore is Oolong tea. I ‘ve never tried it and an very curious about the taste.
