no no, I was good with just the 58 and ammo... plus there were no power trees around to use. .. we did have someone bring an esky full of beverages and another that brought a full sound system! lucky it was only an ex.

Back to tea though or else we are gonna have to change the topic title!

today's is an iced black blend (floral blend) I'm not entirely sure of the mix cause I didn't keep the label in the tin, but it's the last lot of it and it tastes great!

Here's a question for you'all. Honey to sweeten up your tea? I'm not a vegan/whatever person who shuns processed sugar, but I found out something by accident today. I was steeping the last dregs of the oolong I brewed, and I thought I'd throw just a bit of honey in it. Most the honey people tend to get is clover honey and touted as the be all of honey. I bought some local honey from star thistle. Much darker and more flavorful than the golden clover. It seemed to get along with the oolong and they played well together. I had never thought I'd be wondering about pairings of honey and tea, but, hey; this worked. Just a little something I noticed and thought I'd pass along.

    Take care, donv

I concur and I know Mick uses honey too.

personally I find that honey brings out the natural flavors in the tea a bit more whilst sweetening it, where as sugar tends to mask the flavor with sickly sweetness.

Infact I dig honey so much that I am planing on getting a hive or two up and running next year!

Using local honey from your area is better for your system as it helps fight of allergies.Raw unfiltered honey is better for you because all of it's health properties have not been stripped. That being said. I stopped using Agave Nectar because although it's taste is benign,it's basically Mexican corn syrup because it's not much different than. I use good ol sugar because I find that when I put honey in my tea....I taste honey, whereas when using sugar in moderate amount,I get a benign sweetness. That being said...evaporated cane sugar whether it's organic or not is not much better than processed white due to some of the chemicals used in the evaporating process. It's in what ya like folks. But you'll never catch me using any of the lab invented sweeteners i.e not so splenda, sweet n gross,or sugar in the raw which is white sugar with Molasses spray.. etc. (last part a bit cheeky sorry)

Well I figure that after 44 years I can eat what I want for dinner... Also it's my birthday that makes it even better...

Tea: Sadaf Special with Earl Grey/China Tea Pot and Cups (from China bought in Iraq)

Dinner: Mini Biscuts & Gravy with Two Scrambled Eggs w/Cheese...

Yummi Good and I didn't even go to far off my "eating better"...
