Thanked: 235I was wondering how many of you keep a journal of your tea tastings? I have recently started writing a journal with notes about the tea that I drink. Of course one of the main reasons I am doing this is to improve my hand writing. But I also think it could be interesting to go back and see what I thought of a particular type of tea. I was thinking this could be useful with pu-erh. When I can, I buy one to drink now and one to store for a number of years. So my notes could be interesting to at least me some time in the future.
Of course this could all be a bit overly pedantic, but isn't that what a number of us here a known for?

Slur... Is the Kadayif anything like Burma?
That is one thing that I miss about being in the middle east... Baked goods... Pastries and fresh bread... Now I'm hungry...
Each morning I would go to my office and have breakfast, fresh bread, cheese and tea with my language assistance... NOW I'M REALLY HUINGRY!Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated...

Yes my friend it is something very similar.
In Greece we make traditional kadayif which is made with walnuts inside.
The Turkish Burna that you are mentioning has pistachio or nuts inside if I am not wrong.
Kunefe kadayif is a particular Turkish delight that is made with the same thing as Burma in the outside but has some kind of yellow cheese inside.
It tasted it a few years ago in a trip to Constantinople and I liked it a lot.
Here in Athens I found a confectioner of Constantinople origin who makes these particular sweets and every so I try something different.

Not that I forgot... But I forgot... I packaged all my stuff up that I wasn't using a few years ago and then remembered that I had this tea pot, cups and saucers along with my fine Iraqi Chi Glasses... I guess It's time to bring it all back out...

It's starting to get into the warmer months in the land down under.... (and by warm I mean stinkin' hot!) so I have gone to more cooler brews for the majority of my drinking.
Today's is an Iced Sencha with Lime juice.
