Hey, why not just take a tin can, like soup can size, get an ice pick and riddle it with holes. Take a piece of baling wire and make a loop handle like on a bucket. Then, get another tin can, bigger in diameter and use that to boil the water, put the tea in the soup can, drop it in the bigger can but put a stick through the loop and have it long enough to go past the sides of the big can so it hangs in the water without the water level going over the top of the soup can. Simple! You could cut out the bottom of the soup can and cover it with window screen, but that would be too hard.

Way too complicated there Don. It's much easier just to stick with the Billy Can as standard and give her a twirl around, sky to ground a couple of times to settle the tea leaves on the bottom of the billy.

Oh and by the way Steph, next year there'll be a new water theme park ride opening somewhere in one of the several in my area, called...Yep, you guessed it! The Funnel Web! I'll shout you a turn if you care to visit after she's open.

Problem is I have a few tea pots already, they are just packed in shipping containers at the moment cause I am moving. The in laws is where I am staying at the moment and they have no tea brewing equipment, and I really don't want to buy more stuff just to have to cart with me in the car for the 14 hour drive.... it's only just a bit over a week till I move so I think I will survive that long, even if I get a few leaves in my belly

if you can find one, a mini press pot is just the ticket. you can make single servings in them easily. and when your somewhere that using a tea pot isn't fesable, they are even better

I know right? It's gonna be a struggle! The lack of air-conditioning is killing me... but at least there is a pool here, I spent most of yesterday sitting in the pool reading!
