It is 100 grams. I'm just now trying to decifer what some of these character mean. I think this might be a Sheng, or young tea. The shape is a Toucha and it was made in 2006.

I'm almost afraid to start brewing because I know as soon as I get everything out my wife will come home and I won't have time to myself.
Have to wait for school holidays.

And this tea really takes you on a journey with each steep. I would drink this tea over an hour, and probably go through 8 steeps and each one would have new flavors.
Well, just ordered some. I need another addiction, you never really lose one, just replace it with a new one; and I have been one short. The scary thing is, I don't have a SWMBO to rein me in. So I have to be careful. But, I do have a daughter who is into tea, so at least I'll have a buddy in crime. I'll be off my feet for six weeks after November 20th, I've always loved a cup of tea, I'll have time to experiment and enjoy. Thanks, or I hate you! That is yet to be told.

Awesome! I do the exact same thing, I just switched from my last addiction of buying vintage cameras now to straight razors.

I know on the hawaii site, it says to brew the tea for like 3 or 4 minutes, I'm not a huge fan of that. With fancy oolongs I'll steep smaller tea cups 1 at a time and for the first steep I'll do about 30 seconds. And, then each one after that add a few more seconds.

I've wondered about steeping times in some of the photos you guys post... your teas have such beautiful, faint colors. I'm in it at least partly for the utility (i.e., caffeine/theophylline), I must crassly admit. So, in those brief steepings, do you get much of the stimulant out of the leaves?

We call 'Biscuits' 'Scones' here. And that biscuit creation of yours is known here as 'Johhny cakes'.
