As for Donv's mental image, you'll have to darken the hair, cut it with a set of clippers, add a moustache and goatee and chuck on an extra hundred pounds around the middle, to the Dundee in his leather vest and bared chest images, you may have and you should be pretty close!

Yeah, Samwise! He was stout and strong! He sort of loved Bilbo or whatever his name was a bit too much, sort of like an Edwardian in the trenches thing. I don't really see Mick as Edwardian, though. I'd like to go to the pub with Mick, but only if he'd agree to getting pissed and singing along to Black Sabbath, Pearl Jam and Cold Chisel.

Sam did however redeem himself and got married after the whole adventure thing. Yeash...people need to get over that whole Paul Hogan thing. And I love all but Cold chisel...only because I never really knew of'em. But if you like'em,I'm sure I would too.

Carl You got a deal there. I don't give a hoot what I sing when I'm on the turps. Samwise was a bit more like a faithful dog or a really really big 'brown-nose' to the boss. I'm not sure which. Certainly the relationship as a Gardener/Employer was a bit...weird. However he had all the best intentions and an honourable attitude. Willing to stand up for his mate, even when his mate was against it because he just couldn't see what was happening that was so wrong. Willing to carry his mate over the finish line when he couldn't manage it on his own...No, I like Samwise. He had Heart. Frodo had the heavier burden to bare, but in the end Samwise carried both.

Yes. He did, and an idyllic life is inferred. Cold chisel is an 'Aussie Pub Band', it's a bit feral. Black Sabbath had some good stuff, much better than Rainbow...

Oh, TOTM (Tea Of The Moment) is Fruit Melange, on its lonesome...(I don't really like the cup, the wife got it for me after she broke my nice one...)

(tsk, now I've gone and created a TOTM folder on my hard drive...
