Thanked: 227Re: Tea anyone ??!!
I'm new to the world of real leafy tea. So the wife and I went to a tea shop and got a nice gentle afternoon tea and a spiced chai. The spiced chai tastes like christmas lol.

I'm such a huge tea drinker! Some of my favorites have been:
-Aged Honey tieguanyin
-Genghis Khan Super Horse 1206 AD Pu erh
-Hawaiian Grown Oolong (pretty much the best green and oolong tea grown in the US is from Hawaii)

Thanked: 443That sounds cool, where can you get the Hawaiian Oolong?

I had a little Hawaiian oolong from a friend a few years ago, I think it was sourced from here:
100% Hawaiian Oolong Tea
It was really good tea, I found it reminiscent of oriental beauty

I originally tried it at my favorite tea place in san francisco:
Samovar Hawaii-Grown Oolong Tea - Whole leaf Hawaii oolong tea - Samovar tea Lounge - Drink Tea
I believe the company is Tea Hawaii. The Oolong is this amazing fresh huge full leaf tea, nothing has topped it as far as oolong goes for me.
Mauka Oolong – Tea Hawaii - Artisanal Hawaii Grown Tea
And this tea really takes you on a journey with each steep. I would drink this tea over an hour, and probably go through 8 steeps and each one would have new flavors.

Great! Now you guys have me hooked on another hobby! I got my first taste of some Pu-erh this week, and I love it. Let the tea hoarding begin! (If my wife complains, I'm blaming it all on the lot of you. )

Thanked: 235So I was at work today and the Phillipeno English teacher, the Chinese teacher and myself were having a conversation about tea. I mentioned to the Chinese teacher that my favourite type of tea is Phu because it tastes great and can be stored a long time without losing it's flavour. Just then the Chinese teacher reaches into one of her desk draws, pulls out this, and says that she wants to give it to me.
School holidays are almost here, so I'm hoping I will have a whole day to myself when I can sit down taste this tea.
