Thread: Tea anyone ??!!

I didn't check all the posts, but does anybody likes herbal tees? With thyme, lanceloar rip grass, nettle..etc.? Here we can collect the herbs from the forest or meadow. Other way the Twinings 'Princess of Wales' black tee is one of my favourite!

ok so after enjoying a pot of the yorkshire harrogate, at first sip, I was thinking it carried a slightly bitter
start, bit once I got into the cup, I noticed it mellowed out nicely. now I am not one to be able to sense all the subtleties and undertones within a cup of tea, or much else for that matter, but as for my impressions of this tea, I will definitely be adding it to my tea cupboard, it is a keeper

This week I received two from Harney & Sons in NY, a bag their Rasperry herbal mixture for iced tea, has a nice red color and also has hibiscus in it. My daughter loves it and it's really refreshing for summer. Also a black tea with cinnamon and orange peel mixture which is delicious and does not need any sweetener. The cinnamon is very present.

swmbo, is the herbal drinker in the house, i myself dont usually lean to them, i need the caffine, no other way to put it, it has been almost a year since i gave up coffee, and have truely learned to not miss the sour stomach and heartburn it gave me, so i guess i made the right choice, as far as learning, i hope to develope my tastes past the china blacks, but at this time, its slow going, i like my tea very strong, certain teas i cant drink due to problems with tannin, green teas especially, but i am working on my english teas, i have alot to learn when it comes to them, especially which ones i like so to my finicky tastebuds i say brace yourself, your in for a bumpy ride.

ok, all i can say is wow, i just did a dig back thru the thread, and it has been a year since i gave up coffee, i must say i am actually impressed that i made it this long, not even a frozen mocha in the summer, but the temptation was there from time to time, in some way i feel better, at least im not spending hours roasting any longer.

I drink herbal tea quite a bit. Iced rose tea is a great herbal for summertime. Also drink pine needle tea on occasion. Just finished off a box of Celestial Sleepy Time tea that has valerian root in it. Very calming and tasty.

just a thought, and a major thanks to all of you that have helped keep this post going, i sure nightblade will be surprised when he finally can make it back, that we have gone this long.

ok, as i type this i am sippin on my first cup of swan brand tea, i must say that it has a very earthy beginning, and a light crisp finish, a wonderful tea, i have had to do some diggin, and nosewarmer can tell me if i am correct, but if you are looking to try this brand, you can find it under the name Alwazah, but again, that information will need some clarification.

hey everyone! i am a big big tea drinker too but just noticed this thread. I have one of those japanese digital water pots on my work desk at home and drink about 2-3 liters of tea per day. I typically open a bag of anything Rishi Tea sells and drink just that until it is done then move on to the next. Currently I have open a 1lb bag of their organic silver needle premium. They won quite a few awards for this tea and it is my favorite silver needle of all that I have tried. If you like silver needle teas and you haven't tried it I highly recommend you do. anyways, good to hear there are others who enjoy tea as much as i do on here.

i also collect pu-erh teas and I also love Lapsang Souchong. Ever since I travled through the region that makes it I have been addicted to it.

what is the consensus on here about good places to buy tea from? Rishi teas are awesome but a bit on the pricey side.
