It is salt tea, tastes more like broth or soup than ordinary tea, so that's why it is OK to put meat in it. It is also a way to warm up the cold cuts a bit.
The vodka is straight and room temperature.

Oh, I didn't see the clear cup/glass there the first time!

The salt tea thing makes more sense now! Looks good -- enjoy!

The drinks are from left to right: fermented mare's milk, salt milk tea, green tea, vodka and home made sea buck thorn juice.
The meat is a boiled sheep back. If one wants to make the tea yummier one put some meat in it. If there's some clotted cream to put in as well it is perfect.Attachment 155257
Sounds more like soup to me heh heh..but it all looks pretty awesome . Great post Olav... +1

Pretty shocker to me as well...... I wish he was here right now. He didn't really elaborate too awful much to me save for a few messages way back which I am having trouble finding at the moment. I sorta considered him our expert Chinese tea man here . If the mods keep his postings here then his knowledge will at least live on for others who visit the thread . Gonna be hard though rereading them...and I know I will too.

No worries there...Bela will forever be a member here on SRP, we don't modify or erase posts due to a member passing. He will live on

I was just going through my old PM's to read one's from Bela, just to read them. It's really sinking in that he won't be there for my questions anymore. At least I know I've been enriched by knowing him even as little as I did. The term gone but not forgotten is taking on a whole new meaning for me.
