I can drink a pot of tea before bed and seem as far as I can tell to be able to sleep just fine ? Coffee I would definitely be bouncing of the walls though. I keep a jar of instant coffee for those certain days when waking up is just not happening. Rare , but it does happen.

Tonight's tea is Temple of Heaven Gunpowder. I think I am going to be drinking more green tea once the weather warms up. It was -15F this morning when I arrived at work at 8AM.

I shouldn't ask but I am going to...I have been looking for a tea store that I thought someone here mentioned. I remember it being in Colorado. Does anyone know the name of this store? Or can they recommend a place to buy good tea at reasonable prices?

Finally, I am going to watch Dangerous Grounds for the first time in about an hour. Anyone seen it?

I was going to mention the Russian store that I go to as you can get green tea there..but since you are not local. You may have been thinking of Teavana which is fairly expensive. Online is the way to go for you if you don't have a good local. I can only give good brand names like Ahmad and Impra. But their are tons of online sites many of which I bookmarked but never have tried as I always try to get as local as possible. it all depends on whether you want Chinese or Japanese. One online vendor that I know hands down is good is KUSMI TEA. Tea Kusmi Tea- Online sale of various teas: green tea, black tea

Leatherstockings, look uo a site called the English tea store, their prices are reasonable and shipping is fair.

Yeah, I watch the show, it's pretty good. It seems like the good coffee comes from some of the craziest places, like drug runners or broken down governments with armed rebels. I like how he tries to find small farmers and pay them a fair price. Probably the same for tea?

A little late but this one is in memory of Béla:

An unknown Chinese tea; I'm pretty sure it's jasmine but it has a very deep, apricot-like flavour. It's rather nice and it makes a change from the normal but my heart lies with Japanese tea, so I don't drink this one often.

I also have a similar one, where the leaves are rolled into balls. That one seems harder to brew properly though.

a Note on my own post here. I used the general brewing instructions as opposed to the Chinese method and it was fantastic even after the third brew. Good tea.

Black bushels tea in my usual tin pannikin. Sat out on the verandah in the sticky humidity and looked at the moon, while puffing away on some nice McClellands in my pipe. Coming down with a cold so it may be the last puff for a few days. Tea made me feel a bit more chipper, but I'm off to bed soon anyway. Gotta get over this damn thing ASAP.
