This has got to be the worst thread on SRP.
I always look at it late at night,,,,now I'm headed to the refrigerator.
I never find anything as good as these photos, so I'll have to settle for a sandwich. :(

I hope you didn't use a str8 for your culinary work. LOL Being a born again bachelor of some 35 years now I have fond memories of dinner parties I (and for a while, we) threw on a yearly basis. For a number of years I threw a blintzes party for 40 - 45 people. I would make meat blintzes and cheese blintzes for the main course followed with sour cream based apple blintzes for dessert. We asked the guests to bring a wine and or a salad for several people. After my re birth I didn't have the heart to do the blintzes any more and came up with a soup party based on the same principle. Bring a soup for 6 to 8 people or salad and/or bread and wine. Those were great successes and I had a nice few weeks of wine left behind.
Now I'm hungry. Time to raid the fridge!
Yup, I'm down for some lopsta too. Looks fantastic!

It ain't much to look at but is sure is sastisfying. a traditional Scottish home dish of minced ground beef n Oats, onions , a little stock (I used veggie stock and a little Marmite )pepper n sage. You usually serve it over mashed potatos...I had none, so I'm soppin it all up with French bread and butter...aye the auld alliance. This gentleman is comfort food :chapeau Attachment 137570......Attachment 137571
Looks like a good layer for Shepards pie...a little corn and smashed taters !!!
I wanted to get a dual probe thermometer to use with the BGE, so I picked up the Bluetherm Duo and decided it was time to try out a brisket on the BGE! I like the Bluetherm Duo.

It gives great feedback (these are iPhone screenshots):

And it led to very good food:

It paired well with corn on the cob and grilled green pepper:
That look great what is that device.where did you get it?
It is called a Bluetherm Duo. It is made by the same company that makes thermapens (ThermoWorks.com - Home of the Thermapen). It is a dual probe thermocouple with bluetooth. They have an iPhone and Android app. so that you can sync your phone and monitor the two probes. Plus it uses standard k-type thermocouple probes so that are a ton of possibilities for how you set it up...
That looks great! Checking your link now...I've been thinking about the BBQ Guru, but Bluetherm Duo's price point is much more affordable.
The BBQ Guru and the Bluetherm Duo perform different functions. The Guru is a thermostat of sorts where it regulates a fan to keep the temperature within a specified range. The Bluetherm is a dual probe thermocouple, or thermometer of sorts. It does not regulate the termperature, but merely monitors it...
Nice pink smoke ring beagle, bet it tastes awesome !
Too many tomato's in the garden, thought I'd break down the roma's for sauce. Had some extra cheeses in the fridge and more herbs from the garden - rolled out some dough and made a goat cheese ravioli. My technique is poor so they're ugly little things, but covered in sauce and olive oil they're de-e-e-e-lish!

Can I ask a dumb question?
Can I post a picture of a meal, if it was cooked by someone else, like a resturant?
or
Do I have to cook the meal myself?
If you didn't cook it ...it didn't happen !!!! JUST KIDDING :)
Grilled pork chops and cooked onions and apples. I didn't feel like waiting for a baked potato so I added chips.
The fun part for me about this meal is after reading the garden thread and writing about picking apples off the ground. I went into my alley and picked a half dozen of my neighbors apples off the ground before the cars ran them over. They all had something wrong with them to begin with and after bouncing off the tar I was able to use only about 1/3 of the fruit but the price was right and they sure tasted good!
