I had a bottle of Tin Cup. It's pretty good. My understanding is that it is related to Stranahan's but made by a big distiller in the Midwest, then shipped to Colorado to be mixed with water from the Rockies.
There is a whiskey in Texas named Balcones I would like to try. I'm pretty sure it's a single malt with smoke.
Killed this bottle of a particular little day time drink I love this time of year, after shoveling the driveway,,,again.

This, served neat, chilled in the snow bank is just delicious. Sweet, as maple syrup is, it is not so sweet as to detract from the whiskey heat on your tongue. A seasonal treat I always stock up on this time of year. A fantastic sipping liqueur after a big meal as well.

Glad I don't have to shovel the back yard too, lol...
Damn we got a lot of the white stuff.
I'm all in for a razor & whiskey meet!! I'd drive a long way for that!
Andrew, if you can find a bottle of Buffalo Trace bourbon pick it up. Around $25-30 use around here. Awesome if you like smooth!!
Made by the distillery that makes the very very rare and expensive Pappy Van Winkle's. I think they might make Blanton's too which is exceptional as well. Blanton's is readily available here for around $50 usd.
I'm getting thirsty!!
Pete <:-}
Look at that table back there!!! 12" would you say Mike?
Interesting Whiskey Mike, and I like how you said the sweet maple syrup doesn't take away from the whiskey heat. I have a bottle of the Collingwood Toasted Maplewood mellowed, and I find it a little too sweet for my likeness. Wonder how this compares. I'm hanging onto the Collingwood tho, cause at some point I may start to like it.....
13 bottles at my local store. :) Just checked online. $43 here in Ontario. maybe when my Makers runs out I'll grab this.Quote:
