It is . . . but, if you really want something special, buy it in the cask strength version. It is Irish Whisky heaven.
Also, I bought a bottle of Lagavulin 8 the other day. Did not care for the 16 when I tried it several months ago, but the 8 is quite pleasant. Review coming this Wednesday and a rethink on the 16 might be in order.
