I had a cookout & house debut yesterday. Along with soda & beer we had several whiskies. A friend brought Jameson and a couple of bottles of Jim Beam. These were added to my stuff in the photo. The Jameson and McKenna were the most popular.

Had some Oban 18 yesterday. Very very smooth, not a lot of character though.
Ardbeg Corryvreckan whilst attempting to shave with no mains water...
The Ardbeg was good when I opened it last week, but with a bit of airing time, it's excellent this evening.
It's Monkey Shoulder again tonight.
I had Lagavulin 16 while traveling last week; nice with strong flavors. I might need to explore some of the other Islay whiskys.:hmmm:
If you liked that one, you should enjoy the others, and they are worth exploration. Personally, it has not gotten much better than that one from Islay. But I haven't tried an awful lot of them, either.Quote:
