Default MY FIRST BLENDED MALT IN YEARS

I'm sipping a dram of Compass Box Spice Tree, with a few drops of Fiji spring water. Having never tried this type of blend before, I have no reference to compare it to. But one thing is certain: my first impressions are extremely favorable! I have to agree with the folks at Master of Malt, this is very good:

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Fragrant and aromatic with notes of dried herbs, spices, oak and vanilla. Has a bourbon note to it and a peppery tang.
Palate: Gingernut biscuits, toffee spices, peppery, herbal, vanilla, very rich and peppery.
Finish: Very spicy, big and rich.

This a lighter malt, with no smoke to speak of. It's very easy to drink, and I especially like the peppery notes and the spicy finish.
