My brother got me my annual bottle of MacAllan 12, which I will still enjoy occasionally, though I am more on an Islay kick lately. I also love the Crown Royal XO (aged in cognac casks) that I got both him and my oldest son.

The Glenfarclas is on my radar to try-I haven't had any of their stuff yet.

It smells great, but I find the mouth feel very lacking. Searching for something but I never find it. On the finish it has a slight burn which is nice, but still I'm looking for something to happen and it doesn't. Glad I got a small bottle.

About what I expected, I also got started ages ago on jw. The Whisky you tried tend to have a bit more depth.

I'm more and more a fan of the Quarter Cask lately, just an explosion of flavors!

And I personally love the JW Black, Andrew-Just a classic blend, but as we always say, YMMV.

I have 2 Canadian blends that kick it's butt a hundred times over. Just my opinion tho.

Just got back from public swim with the family, at the brand new local pool. My 2 cuties hit the pillows and started snoring immediately. I saw Max's post and thought, I'll hit that too!
