Thread: Witch Hazel

aftershave splash....but I like the fridge idea for keeping it cold

Although I've used it both ways, I splash usually. BTW: Thanks to this thread I bought a bottle of Thayers with aloe vera and it's great. So thanks to all for the info!

I thought the same thing when I started using Witch Hazel. I thought it smelled like tequila. It was bad at first, but eventually the scent grew on me as I got used to it, and now it doesn't bother me anymore. Thayer's is not available where I live, so Dickinson's is the only game in town. (P.S. I am also 30.)

I am absolutely sold on Witch Hazel. I splash it on but just use the cheap wall world stuff. Smell doesn't bother me and it doesn't hang around long at all. My wife also uses it with some cotton pads to clean her face too.

I don't mind the smell of the cheap walmart stuff either,

FYI they expensive Proactive stuff for Pimples they sell on TV, is like 90% (+) Witch Hazel

I use the KMart stuff after my cold water rinse. I apply it with a cotton pad then once it dries, I apply my after shave balm.

It's all about Thayers with Aloe vera as far as I'm concerned...

Not gonna lie, I add old spice to my WH...

I take a dab of aloe vera in the palm of my hand, smooth it out, and then squirt some Dickinson's into it. Mush that around and apply. Feels good. Might try the fridge idea as well - cold it might feel even better. As for the scent, you do get used to it. I never really found it to be all that bad.
