Having done the job with a DE and a disposable, I would caution against starting down that path with a straight. You should get the lay of the land first, so to speak. Differences between the ways gals are built can make the job a little tricky, especially if your wife finds out. (I keed.)

And either way, you NEED to see what you're doing, so don't go using any kind of thick uberlather that obstructs your view. You're better off with thin, slick lather. Good luck.

I've shaved my Mrs. before. It was not as fun as I'd thought it'd be. But, fun nonetheless. I didn't really do anything special to the lather. Lots of warm cloths to keep on there to keep it moistened. Lots of rinsing and wiping and a ton of skin stretching. Some areas are fine and great, others you're like how in the freak am I going to do this?! It was more so me anticipating something to happen, trying to be careful and hoping she doesn't say stop. Not too often I get there, so I tried to enjoy the time. Jump into it head first, wait. Err... Enjoy the shave. Seriously. It's not that bad. My dumb behind kept going for ubersmoothness and caused irritation. That put me off limits of the region. Don't make that mistake.

You could try KY Jelly as a pre-shave oil. If the shave goes well, you could use it post-shave as well.

It's all about angles... You gotta hang her upside down by her feet.... Now, she won't be happy about that so you have to slip her a roofie first.... Which she won't be happy about either, but she will get a hellavu' shave!

Afraid I agree with Jimbo here. Yes you do get some small amount of draft in the crotch while riding motorbikes, but you really do have to poke the knees right out and it helps to raise your arse off the seat too, but if you're doing all that, then you're doing it wrong. The only time I really got to feel the breeze in that same sense, I had managed to deflect my planned trajectory down a public road at night, by hitting an unyielding object at speed. It was while looking down at the speedo from directly above that I realised that doing a handstand at 60km/h was really good for cooling the nether regions. I also wondered at the diffuclty level of doing a handstand on a cruiser under normal operating conditions. My next thought was, If I fall now, it's really going to hurt. Somehow I managed not to fall, but it was a damn near thing.

Draft depends on which horse you're riding. My GS750, not so much. My old TX500, a lot!
