    Default Strangest Post Shave Treatment

Ok so I have been thinking about all the different things I have read about for post shave treatments, and it got me thinking.... What have other people have tried that may seem strange as a post shave treatment? I have heard stories from my grandfather saying that his best friend used to splash Irish Whisky on his face as a post shave. Now to me that is a wast of fine liquor but that may just be me.

So here is the question, What strange or odd post shave treatments have you ether heard of someone trying, or have tried yourself?

Also if you have tried it, give us the verdict whether it worked or not?

Well, cousin Festus swears by dilute battery acid for that cosmetic peel effect after a shave and Uncle Jethro likes to rub dry ice on his face to produce that rose in his cheeks. Personally I wouldn't do either.

I have heard of various liquors used (scotch, rum, bourbon).

My grandfather used listerine as his aftershave.

My father kept telling about this weird stuff he used - I thought he was losing his marbles. He said it was called "Witch Hazel".

OK. Not so weird sounding now but it was a long time ago.

For those on a budget, do you think wine or especially strong beer would work?

Sure, if you drink enough of it.

One morning I told to myself that 90% isopropyl alcohol must be a good replacement for after shave. It was a painful morning.
