Thanked: 10At last...someone after my own heart. Once I discovered that trick, I never went back to just shave cream. It not only helps the razor glide over the face without injury but it seems to make the cream hold up better and last longer as well. And you don't need to use one particular kind of gel. I have found several that work just as well. What I'm using now is cheap "on the Go Freeze Shaving Gel with Aloe and Vitamin E" - a 5 oz tube for $1 from the Dollar Store. Hey, it works great.

I have used AOS sandalwood in the past, and that is the next oil I will be getting into. Currently, I am using Origins that my wife had gotten for me. I really like it, a little thinner than AOS, and washes off the hands pretty easily. I think she said she found it at Macy's...
