Hello to All,
I have been using the 'new Sandalwood' (Red tube) cream for a few weeks and have found it (for me) a superb performer
It lathers easily and well and provides excellent cushion and glide (for me).
The sandalwood scent persists on my badger brushes like no other soap/cream I have used - if you get within a couple of feet from the brush you can smell it, even the day after the shave
I agree the scent could be quite polarising - love it /hate it with a few neutrals - I suppose in the same vein as the scent of Tabac soap seems to be a love it/hate it thing !
I will certainly be using this cream as a mainstay in my rotation
Have fun !
regards
Russ

Our local Shoppers Drug Marts have never carried the red for some reason. Yea, the Italian Barber has it listed.

Thanked: 13Which reminds me: my dad used to use the Noxzema that came in the tub. No brush, just lathered it up in his hands. I've only used the Proraso that comes in the tubes. With the one in the tub work the same as that old Nox?

Thanked: 0I think I am allergic to the Proraso Pre Shave cream. I have used this 4 or 5 times now and with each time I have had increasingly worse of a reaction. The very last time I used it was coincidentally the first time I was using my Muhle R41 and you would have thought someone threw battery acid on my neck, it was that bad. The jury is still out on the new formula tube as I have only used it once so far and don't know whether it is having the same effect.
Anyone else have the same reaction to it?

I originally didn't care for the sandalwood scent but it's growing on me. And to think I almost gave it away!

Thanked: 3Re: New Prorarso comparison: Eucalyptus and Sandalwood
I have to say the Prorarso Red worked a treat as far as the shave went. The lather was great after adding a touch of water. I found the scent fine. I got the better half to check directly after the cold water rinse & before I applied after shave balm & there was no complaints there either.
