I use proraso 5 times a week so I don't want to run out lol.
Just make sure it is the old formula, around here the new formula tubs have an old label affixed over the new label for some reason. The new white tubs are correct, so whats up with the green?

With mine, the old formula eucalyptus was in a glossy green tub, the new formula in a matte tub, same color. I think I have said this before, but my feeling is that the performance is on par, the smell is different. Personally I don't care for the new smell, but I will still use it as my performance "baseline" for my judging other shave soaps off of because it's consistent from tub to tub. I'm on my second tub of the "new" formula.

I retract my previous post. I have just started using Proraso, but I must have the ''old'' formula still, as it's in the glossy green tub. I hope the ''new'' formula performs like this does.

    Firefighter,
Please don't take my experience as an "authority" as I did order my Proraso from England. My tubs of the "new" stuff look like this: PRORASO ORIGINAL SHAVING SOAP CREAM JAR WITH EUCALYPTUS & MENTHOL 150 ML | eBay

Do yours look the same? Notice the barber pole type striping as well on the "new" stuff. If I could find a case of the old stuff, I'd probably buy it...but the new does perform just as well.

    shooter74743:

It's obvious now that I have the old tub.
Pictured below is mine. Thanks for the info.

I recently picked up a tube of the Proraso Sandalwood. The lather is there, but the scent is terrible. The one I received smells like a dirty dish rag. I honestly don't think I can use it. I don't know, maybe I got a bad batch. At least I hope so. I can't imagine they intended it to smell that way. I do have some of the old stuff in the green tub, and in the old green tube...

the scent is unique and very love/hate. It is mild, but genuine, with nothing to mellow the sandalwood ( except the other ingredients, which don't help to say the least.) Sorry that you don't like the scent, btw.

I still haven't seen the new formulas. Maybe they haven't landed in Canada yet?

To me, the new ones perform just as good as the old ones.
