Nothing fancy. Just a good steaming hot shower. Softens up the wiskers without a problem... Then off to the sink for a nice lathery shave. Has worked for years. ;-)

Soak brush In scuttle with hot water...then shower, refill scuttle with hot water and make lather. While lather is getting warmer....strop on linen then leather..40 linen 100 leather...get rest of gear out....alum block, balm, razor oil. Then put warm lather to hollywood face and enjoy !!,

This morning my routine was to strop my 'new to me' razor on a pasted cotton strop, move on to leather, move on to HHT and slice right into my left index finger!
Great way to start the morning. Deep? Decided not to look. Have a tight bandaid on it right now.
Thank god for Barbercide!

Thanked: 116I recently cut myself pretty bad, almost took the tip of a finger off. Superglue saved it! Apply pressure, really hard, as soon ad you take pressure off, apply as much crazy glue over the cut as is needed to seal it off, once it dries don't pick at it. Mine healed in less than 2 weeks.

I can only speak for myself here but a superglue stitch seems to leave a much smaller scar than regular stitches. Johnus, is that an advanced sharpness testing method? If the blade pops the hair and then stops at bone, your ready to shave!
