I used to have a friend who's dad would drink Aqua Velva, Listerine, Sterno, and a bunch of other flammable stuff when he was on a bender and couldn't afford more whiskey.

I hope so too. I read about Listerine and Aqua Velva originally being aftershave and mouthwash, respectively, at the Art of Manliness web page. I think they had some old ads, also.
