Just stay away from the store brands. They are cheap but though they don't say it are very watered down.
    I wouldn't consider 86% watered down.
And this is cheaper than Dickenson.

And adding one drop of glycerin to the WH in my hand, really keeps your skin soft and moisturized.
But in all honestly...Thayers is much better, but there's allot more ingredients in Thayers, like essential oils, glycerin, and type of alcohol n such, that sets it apart from most others

But for the most part, I'll go cheap most days, and save the Thayers for Sunday. [emoji6]

I have used Dickinson's after every shave for years. I like that it is straight pure WH. I rinse my face, splash on the WH and let it dry while I clean up, wipe down strop etc.. Then I get all my goodies from the splash or balm I am wearing that day.

My daily aftershave is home-mixed with about 1 part glycerin to 5 parts Dickinson's witch hazel, with a few drops of lavender essential oil.
I find that a bit of glycerin helps make the solution "slicker" and helps moisturize the skin, without being greasy.

In the hot summer months I will keep a small bottle of WH in the fridge...nothing feels better than WH on hot skin.

How does it work with an aftershave splash? Will it mess with the scent?

Never has for me. The plain unscented has a medicinal smell of sorts that is gone in a few minutes. Then a guy can just do what he wants to do. [emoji41]

Put a splash of each in your hand, and let us know. If its just plain WH, I wouldn't think so. I've put glycerin in aftershaves, and colognes, with good results.

We have had this discussion. The devil is in the details. It may be 86% witch hazel but the witch hazel itself is watered before that step of inclusion. It's like when you buy ground beef and it says 15% fat. That's the stuff they add not the fat the beef already has in it.

If you buy the store brand and the Dick. you can readily see the difference.

So true, so true. And Thayers is even thicker.
