I don't like any preshave oil, gunks up the brush and Art of Shave pricey!!!!!!

I do think the key is to use 2 drops as reccomended by the store personel. I won't live this one down listening to them. heh heh.
I've suffered no build up on my brushes using only a few drops. In years past I did when I used a liberal glistening amount. I only use enough to push my beard up and give the mug a good massage prior to a good lather with bristles covered with cream.

I do think it probides benefit to dry and sensitive faces. Noxema and proraso seems to soften beards to over cooked noodle status. This is good for wire beards. I do like most pre shaves. But then again my face tends to dry in the weather and following the too hot water that I use. Perhaps boiling hot water is not optimal on da face. Hmm/

The Trick With Oil Is A Hot Towel
Smother that that 1st application with a hot towel. Then a light application of oil again followed by lather....

That's pretty much what Truffit and Hill does in Las Vegas. They went through many towels and many applications of their citrus oil during my shave there last summer. MikeB
