X and Z , I'm very interested in a good aftershave that is as "scentless" as possible.

Good gosh, I quit using aftershave in high-school, back in the '70s.
I never needed it while using a (dare I say it here?) Mach-III, but from what I'm reading, it sounds like it's almost a neccesity following a shave with a straight razor.

Anyhow,..when I'm out some place nice I like to wear cologne, very nice cologne,....and I'd really like to enjoy it without a scented aftershave mixed in with it.

How about INSTEAD of a cologne? That's what I do now I'm using a str8 exclusively. If it's not strong enough as a splash or doesn't last long enough, put a little behind the ears or on your wrists as well as splashing on the face. The splash type aftershaves go on strong but fade quickly in my experience, and I like that. The "cheapie" aftershaves we're talking about here (Pinaud) I use mostly for every day applications. When I'm really getting duded up, I still like to use a post shave splash, albeit a nicer one....One of the Taylors or something along those lines. Their splashes are great, but get a bit spendy for daily use. When I get too aggressive with the str8 and need a little more moisturizing/soothing, I use corn huskers (but a little goes a long way). It doesn't clash with any colognes.
