Pinaud Vanilla
I have heard some good things about this Pinaud Vanilla scent and while at Walgreens this evening I spotted one lone bottle on the shelf.
I opened it and smelled it and immediatley walked to the front to check out. This stuff smells GOOD!
I encourage all of you to check it out.

Try the GEO if you can. That and the Coachman are right on par with the Original and the Vanilla IMO. Pinaud makes some good ones, and the price is right. The two VEGETAL varieties nearly make me yak though.

I just picked up some of the Pinaud original at Walgreens. The smell takes me back to when I was a child (some 25-30 years ago) getting a haircut at the barber shop with my Dad on Saturdays. I used some after shaving, and after the "that stings a little" wore off, the scent was a hop in the wayback machine.
Wonder if Ray could get Pinaud to do a sampler pack for Christmas or Father's Day?

Or you could do what I did. eBarbershop.com is the only place I've found that will sell Pinaud samples for less than $3. It comes out to be a little spendy if you get them all, but you get a decent amount in each bottle. I think they put together the samples themselves as the labels are stickers printed on a PC. I liked the original so much and heard so many good things about some others I just pulled the trigger. I have to be honest though, the original is still tops on my list of the Pinauds. Not by much, though. In my post above I mention the others I really like. Some of them are not too appealing to me, such as either of the lilacs or the bay rum. Even bought a sample of the clubman original shampoo. Country Club shampoo I think it's called. Nice. I might be inclined to send these samples on to another on the forums here if they pledge to do the same when they're done. I know what I want to buy now and they're affordable enough.

Way cool! Thanks for sharing this! How much is in a sample bottle? Do they list it in ounces? I have a few scents I'd like to try, but my wife is picky about the scents. I bought some Florida Water at Walgreen's, she hates it, says it reminds her of floor cleaner. So, I just wear it on days when she leaves before me The original is nice, and she didn't really turn her nose up at it. She said it had kind of a clean smell to it.

Yeah they have all the specifics on their site under the Clubman/Pinaud page. 2.5 oz maybe? I know they're not expensive though. Less than $3 each. I think I grabbed about 9 of em.

I used the Pinaud Vanilla today (haven't used it in a while) well I like it but my wife hated it. Damm. I will try bay rum tomorrow I think she doesn't mind that. Anyone use anything that is scent free???

I've been using Thayer's brand Original Witch Hazel with Aloe Gel Skin Astringent as an aftershave. They recommend it for itches and minor skin irritation, but since it was a lot like their aftershave I went with it. There's no noticable aroma and it's very refreshing.
