Thanked: 0What post shave lotion to use?
Hi, I currently have been getting a little dry on my face so I didn't shave for several days. It got a little better but I think it is mostly from winter. Are there any special mug soaps that moisturize while they are lathered up? Or are there any preferred lotions out there? I want moisturized skin without it looking or feeling greasy. I use aqua velva aftershave but probably wont use it during the winter months as it has alcohol in it to further dry my skin.
Thanks for any help.

Thanked: 0l'occitane CADE after shave balm following an alcohol splash. feels wonderful, very soothing. Cleaned up some gnarly razor burn I'd been experiencing from what I didn't know was a too dull razor in a matter of days. Juniper and some other stuff...smells good but rather light.

cool rinse, alcohol based splash, then a touch of cetaphil moisturizer mixed with scented balm of choice. Finds it leaves me happily "neutral."

I found that the Burt's Bees "Aftershave" is pretty moisturizing. It's actually more of a lotion though. Not greasy but it takes a few minutes to soak in.
So - cold water, witch hazel, Burts bees aftershave. If I still feel a little tender I'll splash on some more witch hazel or a very little amount of alcohol based AS.

I use Nivea Extra Sensitive balm or Proraso aftershave balm. So far as I can tell, they work about the same (very well - I have sensitive skin and winters here are cold and dry), but the Nivea has a more neutral scent.
