Default I also need a new deodorant

While reading MickyLee's thread about deodorants I was wondering about quality deodorants. I have extremely sensitive skin because of which many deodorants cause a rash. I currently have tried many commercially available deodorants and have found only a limited few offer a functional item for me. Lately I have successfully been using degree solid. I have been wanting a deodorant with a scent that avoids the teenybopper standard. I have tried tom's of maine and it rashed me up with the first use. I know having read mickylees thread that many of the companies we deal with offer an adult scented alternative. My question is which of these products will work and will not irritate my skin? Also are there any boutique guys who offer a deodorant.

Ever try the Dry Idea roll-on? I've had the same thing- rashes from other stuff, but this has been working great for years now. Not too much scent option, but hey...

Arm & Hammer does a great job and works for 24 hours if need be.

Are you talking deodorant or antiperspirants?
I never use antiperspirants, but the most effective deodorant I've ever come across is Witch Hazel. Go figure.

My biggest problem is the scents that are available, but when I looked into alternate brands they caused problems. I get very tired of these "scents" and want something more traditional.
The arm & hammer caused a rash.
I use both deodorants and antiperspirants (not at the same time). I will have to try witch hazel, what are the applications? What is the longevity?
I was looking to go with a deodorant since they tend to be less harsh on the skin and I no longer am working a job where I sweat from 6 am to 5 pm.

At alot of health food stores you can obtain a natural crystal that you wet under water and use for deodorant. I have not seen one that has a scent but i cannot use any other deodorant because it makes me rash. I have been using this for atleast 5 years and have never had a problem.

I have to wear deodorant, because if I can't sweat I'll overheat, but I have a hard time finding anything that keeps the smell under control. I've come to the conclusion that there might be substances in the deodorant that actually feed the bacteria and make the situation worse.
After my last brand was discontinued, out of desperation, I thought I'd try Witch Hazel, just splashed under the ol' pits, and I was amazed at the level of odor control. It far exceeds anything I've ever tried, including anti-bacterial body soap (Cetaphil) which worked pretty well.

If used with regular deodorant on top, the scent of the deodorant will actually last for the day. But, of course, YMMV.

Thai Crystal is a common brand of it. If you have Whole Foods Market close by, they probably have it. Also cheap and easy at Amazon.

ps Whole Foods also has essential oils (at least by me) like bay rum, clove, orange, etc
-sorry that was little off topic, the oils arent to mixed with the crystal stick, but good for other needs

I use an alum block and/or Nivea which is an anti-perspirant. That may be useless information for you but just in case you've never tried it I'd recommend giving it a go.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!
