do it with mint that works as well. Or probably with any kind of essential or synthetic oil that you like the smell of.

i guess i was just hoping it would smell clean, like alcohol, or fragrant, like coconuts. no worries; i'm sure i'll get used to it.

i'm almost tempted to spend eight bucks on a different bottle just to see if there's really a difference between the scented and unscented thayers. do any of you guys who've used both kinds think it's worth it?

Absolutely! I love the Lavender and the Rose. Haven't had a chance to pick up the Lemon.

I add a little (a couple of drops each) almond essential oil and some peppermint oil to the bottle, it seems to help a lot. The smell doesn't last long for me just plain, they all have 'that' smell to me. One of the Thayers I sniffed, I can't remember which one, smells like really cheap Vodka to my nose.

holy living hell that's a lot of money for a forty year old bottle of fire water. have you ever had it (the 40 yr, that is)?
sounds pretty crazy, but intriguing. is there really a noticable difference?
i don't drink too much anymore, but when i do i usually just have some bombay saphire on ice. it's classier than popov (but then again, what isn't?), not a girly flavored drink with juice or what-have-you added to sugar it down, and not too expensive, either.

I am still at the beer and tequila shots stage. Since it works for me, I'm not planning on changing it. Scotch on the rocks is ok but not as enjoyable as my routine. Sometimes I have a shot or two of 20 year old moonshine, but that I enjoy slowly as I don't have much left.
