I just got this today:
It's very distinctive, but I think it's a scent that I will enjoy, though not as an every day thing.

Thanked: 485I ordered some of the Dominica last week, and it'll be at least a month for it to arrive, can't wait! Unfortunately I judged the 'book' entirely by its 'cover', or maybe that was fortunate?
I also liked the LOOK of this one, but it was out of stock :-(
Colognes, Aftershave, MenStranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 603The OP asked for recommendations for a Bay Rum aftershave. I don't know of any, but for my money, there are several EDCs that I'd recommend -- the first is Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum, and the second is St. John's Bay Rum (they have a matching ASB, which is excellent, being full of Bay Rum aroma and soothing, as well).
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

When my wife was in the islands last year she brought back some Bay Rum AS made by Snead and Sons in Jamaica. The bottle says made from Bay Oil and Sugar Cane Alcohol and nothing else and it has a bay leaf in the bottle. Its great stuff. Do a search Snead and Sons and you can order it on-line.

Thanked: 1195That's funny, I was just reading a debate about this last night on B&B (I'm a lurker only )....
There seems to be some confusion whether or not Clubman, or perhaps Bay Rum in general, is an aftershave or cologne. I could be wrong, but I believe many Bay Rums are marketed as "all purpose lotions", which would certainly not exclude use as an aftershave. Clubman's own website describes their own Bay Rum as, "Not just an after shave, Virgin Island Bay Rum instantly cools, refreshes and tones the skin,".
