I don't get why people say this about Creeds. I have four different ones (Original Vetiver, Aventus, Green Irish Tweed, Millesime Imperial) and they all have superb longevity. Two sprays of Aventus, for example, last and project for a full day at least. I can even smell it on my shirts after washing them.

Nothing sticks to me for more than half an hour... Something about my skin. At two bazillion bucks a quart, trying to find "the one," saw me quickly loose interest.
On a trip to Manhattan in NYC, I explained this to one of the vendors who was doing a promo and "working" me. She claimed that this was common, pulled out some oil, rubbed a slight amount on my neck and then sprayed the cologne on top. It lasted the rest of the night!! Wow.
I told her if it worked I would be back the next day, but it didn't work out that way so I don't know what oil she used.
If you can figure out what she did... you could probably use anything! Ask around and good luck.

Thanks for your comments, Paul.
This is strange as my experience has been different. Two things I would say:
1. Be careful what batch / year of bottle you buy. There is lots of discussion over on Basenotes regarding this and how to find the year your bottle/batch is from. Generally the 2011 bottles are accepted to be among the best, fruitiest and longest lasting.
2. It's very easy to get anosmia with Creeds. Often the case could be that you need to apply less in order to smell more. Something like Aventus usually lasts for days, but you can't always detect it on you, even though others can.
Hope this is of use to you

I've tried a few creed scents, but fell in love with creed bois du portugal. It has good staying power, especially with one spray on my shirt as well. I can usually smell weakly on my in the morning after 12 or so hours. It may be my imagination, but the staying power also seems to depend on the humidity in the air.
I would try theperfumedcourt.com and get some decanted samples before you spend money on a bottle of anything.

Have you considered not showering for a while? Very musky-line and last as long as you want
Sorry, I like my scents subtle, floris sandalwood is my perfect example - I get a slight whiff of it may be once an hour. But as long as you're not working with me you can shower in d&g pour homme (15-20 years ago it was the favorite of a special lady so I wore it every time I was feeling frisky, so good memories, but it's not what I'd pick for myself).

Thanked: 485Since my last post two of my favourite lasting scents are 'Whisky' by Evaflor (I know it's cheap but I like it paired with Dominica Bay Rum) and Madame Scodioli and Cirmes' 'Step Right Up'. 'Step Right Up' does last, but further than that it's an aftershave you can feel.
Applying this is like anointing oneself...

I like Stetson. I don't know if they make it anymore, but it fades out in about 3-4 hrs. That is the kind of scent I prefer. One which fades to oblivion instead of makin my eyes water all day!
