Thanked: 5Blackgold, I really love this razor. I was a little suprised at the "6/8" measure though. It measures 6/8 to where the spine would rest on the hone. . . But the amount of metal above that makes the total measure a solid 7/8

I've been looking at a lot of razors to get started in straight razor shaving. I've decided when I get the extra cash to get an aust razor!! All of these razors look awesome and I've heard nothing but good things about them!!!

Wow, that shoulderless razor in the horn scales is one of the most beautiful razors I've ever seen!
Anyone that can make the comparison of the non-stainless vs the stainless ralf aust razors?Last edited by TristanLudlow; 05-04-2016 at 07:02 PM.

Thanked: 286Ralph aust imperial shaving
This Ralph Aust arrived yesterday from srd. Ebony scales with silver inlays. 6/8 shoulderless blade with Spanish point and worked spine. In real life this razor is a beauty the inlays are made perfect the balance of the razor is as nice as it gets. I,m no stranger to Ralph aust razors there all very nice including this one that I have to say is most likely my favourite . I brought this from straight razor designs, the razor came shave ready. Very quik dispatch and exallant service.

I really like these Ralf Aust 6/8 blades. Aust, Dovo, Revisor, and Wacker use the same blanks, but only the Aust and Revisor razors actually deliver.
But yes, Mr Aust's first name is Ralf, not Ralph.
