BTW Phrank, awesome razor. That is a dream of mine to get one of those!
Oh boy, a rattler! I walked up on a big fat one in Arizona once at some old Indian ruins. It was on a trail that was hardly used & I stepped right over it when I saw it. It was crossing the trail & not coiled up thank God. I loved it out there.

Well I went with quick and easy and maybe this winter I will take this one apart and really get after it. I have yet to test shave with this one but this is by far the most difficult razor I have honed to date. My novice hone skills were put to the test here I bet I have close to 8 hrs not all at once , getting this sucker to take bevel then smooth out from there! and even at that I am still a bit befuddled by how I got there. Razor did clean up nice just scrubbed a bit then wd40 and 0000 steel wool as suggested then a bit of never dull I had laying around. Well thanks for looking

Vintage 1" Wade Butcher for Barbers Use" | eBay
full 1" and I cant even see a bevel or hone wear! The blade appears to be in almost new condition, the cheap acrylic scales will be replaced with proper horn and lead wedge with dome collars when it arrives.
I tried uploading pics but they turned out super small so I just added the link.Last edited by Russell1989; 09-11-2016 at 08:59 PM.
