Oh, nice day today! My latest additions: two blond horn scaled (with old soft case) and one in dark horn. All very similar, ranging from 6/8 to 13/16+ in size, allmost wedge (II on the Henckel's chart), same pins, crown marked on the shank etc..

Here's one my son and I finished up a couple of weeks ago. Some day I may get into polishing out the pit marks but I am content with them where they are for now.

I would like to apply for membership here at the Butcher Shop. I'm deep in the middle of my Wade & Butcher period and I've just had a couple of test shaves so far with this round point Special and the results are smooth and comfortable shaves.

Here's another one. This is a Bow Razor in spalted oak scales. Tried this one this morning. It gives a very nice shave, though it looks like a full hollow it shaves like a half hollow. Hmmm Just might be a half hollow. Just a shade under 7\8th at the toe there is nice heft to the blade, and the rounded toe is a nice touch. No nicks anywhere and you don't have to watch the spike, just a comfortable close shave.

Here are my two W&B's. The grainy one is a wedge, the Barber's is a full hollow. I'm hoping to find a matching Barber's wedge to replace the wedge I have now.
Oh, I forgot to say the wedge is about an 8/8 and the Barber's is just slightly smaller.

Here are a couple more. I really like the Specials, great steel, temper and design. The frameback was a bit of a surprise as it is light in the hand like a 5/8,but shaves like a wedge with that silent whisker squeegee shave.

Thanked: 488I've been into this fine hobby about 6 months now and love every minute of it. One thing I've settled on is I love W&B razors especially the large ones.
I'll be taking some decent pictures and posting them later but this is one club I want to be a part of!
So far I've gotten fairly good at honing, refurbishing etc. The more I learn the more I want to learn!
