Nice Razor Holli. Looks very familiar. I should have a new one to add to the club shortly too.

Been wanting to try a Wade & Butcher razor for a long time after hearing what good shavers they were. I recently acquired two, one (a Bow) from my uncle for doing some work on his Crown & Sword and the other (a Special) from a local antique shop. The scales on the 'Special' are original but I can't figure what the three holes are for. I replaced the scales on the 'Bow' with Purple Heart and etching on blade reads "The Original And Only Genuine Bow Razor Manufactured Solely By Wade & Butcher'. The first shave with the Bow was fair and needs some more work but the first shave with the Special was just that, 'Special'.....now I know what they mean by 'Magic Steel' in the W&B's. I hope this qualifies for membership in 'The Butcher Shop' .............

Here's my new razor. I've posted it in the Christmas thread but had to place the picture in it's proper and rightful place, here in the Butcher Shop.

7/8 half-hollow barbers-notch with black horn scales, bull's-eye washers and metal spacer.

I resisted the temptation to break out the metal polish and just cleaned her up with some alcohol and a Q-Tip. The patina will stay this time.

Can't wait to get her honed and give her a try.

That's my new (antique) Shaving Mug in there as well. A Christmas present from my Wife.

Beautiful Razor. The etching on the blade is great. I'll be on the lookout for one of those.

eBay finding. After unpinning and cleaning found a nice razor under the dirt. Horn scales, tin wedge. Polished the blade only mildly and repinned with brass rod and washers. Carefully fixed the old gold inlays, although parts of it were heavily outworn.
Now she carries her age with proudness. Honed, stropped and shaved.
    Sorry about the picture quality.
I think that is the first W&B I've seen with an arrow on the reverse of the shank. Nice razor.
