Default Here is my humble stable

These are just a few quick picks:
First up is a restoration from Harvitz. It is a 13/16 half hollow

Next is a nice (see the smile!) slight swayback 13/16 full hollow. Again restored by Harvitz

    Name: IMG_1909.jpg
Views: 831
Size: 63.0 KB

And my favorite: A 7/8 regrind in near-wedge. This is my best shaver (for now )

They may not be much, but they are mine...

I think we both know it's already too late for that... consolation: you have to do *something* whilst extant on this planet. Why not this? At least it's fun! ... and harmless to all except onesself.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or is that a double grind?

I shaved with my little WB this morning. She needs some TLC on the hones, but a good little shaver.

I ran across another one in an antique shop a couple weeks ago. They wanted 17 for it; black plastic scales and a blade shaped like the letter S and ground down so thin it'd be about a 1/8 razor once you corrected the smile/frown combo. I think I offended the guy when I laughed when I opened it up, but that poor thing was so abused. It's good to return here and see a sizable population still in good order!

    Peace,
    Jim

P.S.>>The PL's in need of a new flexplate, but I've finally got dough to do it. The F-1 I took on a six hour round trip a few weeks ago. She could use some TLC, but there never was a more faithful ride.

That is some of the cleanest most prestine etching I have ever seen on an old W&B ( I think I have a chubby). How does that beauty shave?
