Thanked: 0USMC Clauss
Hello Clauss Fans!!
I have a Fremont OH Clauss, with USMC on the reverse side. While talking to Carrie, I found out that it should be mfg'd between 1887 and 1920. Does anyone have any more info about this razor? I'll post pictures soon as I get my daughter to show me how...lol

Just acquired this WWI era Clauss USMC razor made in Fremont Ohio with original case. The razor is in pristine condition with two small corrosion pits in the chrome on the spine. It's close to shave ready and I'm debating whether to send it to Lynn or try stropping the hell out of it first. I don't own any hones yet so I'm open to any suggestions on getting the keeness back without the expense of sending it out.

That's a sick razor, the Clauss USMC is the one I'm in search of now
my 2 cents on the edge is this: that's a classy razor for sure, so why not treat it to a classy honing, send it out to a honemeister and it's gonna shave the way God intended

Nice razor. Unfortunately stropping the heck out of it is not going to make it shave ready if it isn't already. Nothing can replace a good sharpening on the hones by someone that knows what they are doing and have sharpened razors for a while.

You guys are probably right. I guess I'll pack it off to Lynn on Tuesday.
