Few days ago I recived #13 DT bought from Mainaman. Razor is very nice looking one.
Today I did honing job and test shave.
After the shave I was little bit shocked because this one beat up almost all razors from my collection. Maybe just FON Golden Star Deluxe is so good as Filarmonica but just maybe.
Filarmonica is so good that I really have to think about my honing skills on other razors from my collection
So, question for all of you Filarmonica owners-how you compare Filarmonica with other razors from your collection?
You know, the Filarmonicas, of whom I have a few, are really good shavers.
Furthermore, they hone up real easy.
I'm not sure why that is, but getting a fine edge on those comes real easy to me.
In all honesty, in my modest collection, the Filarmonicas does stand out, and not all that many can rival them.
Agreed ! The Filis stand out . Im new to honing but i recently got a #14 sub cero took it to the Naniwas and it shaves better than several razors I have had done by the pros...It cant be me. My other Filis are much the same.
I was affraidd that I will have to check my honing skills on my other razors :rofl2:
....and I agree that Filarmonica is really easy to hone which I did not expect if we take in account their "double temple" name LOL
probably someone should buy this brand and start back selling them! i have 2 and they are as good as revisors
Here is the latest addition to the collection.

I definitely love Filarmonica! I have some of them and I used a Filarmonica 12 Doble Temple yesterday morning for my shave.
I will contribute to the club with my razors soon. I see here many Filarmonica 13 and this is killing me as it is now a long time I am trying to have one, with no success or luck. Great pictures, gents!
VERY NICE #13 !!!

I like the #12's as well...in fact when I want a 'Fili' shave they're usually my go to shaver...:beer1:

Well I do not have any of Filarmonica but i did shave with them, few in fact. I say they are really good but I have few old French and English blades which are better (my personal opinion and I hope I didn`t make anyone Filarmonica brotherhood angry) and cheaper. To me this blade are really overpriced and i can`t afford any of this crazy prices. Even if I could I still will not buy it as there is so much hidden potential in unknown or old brands...
Here's my early almost mint Filarmonica 14 Especial Jose Monserrat Pau, 8/8 full hollow.

Wow, this one is a real beauty, I've never seen an early Fila in this condition before ... will dry my keyboard and come back :dropjaw:
Hi guys, maybe the answer to my question in buried somewhere in this thread, just couldn't find it. Anyways, I want to buy a Filarmonica and noticed a significant price difference between razors with Jose Monserrat stamp and ones without it. Is there a real quality issue that any of you has experience or has heard of or simply an added value in the eye of a true Fili collector?
Thanks!
If you refer to the stamp on the blade (not the one put on the shank, which is always present) the one usually in gold, yes it makes a difference.
As far as I know, the early production of José Monserrat Pou had no stamp in the blade, therefore the blade was just "clean and shiny". Gold plating in the blade was used in later times.
As far as I am concerned, quality is basically the very same - I do own both DT with a stamp and with no stamp - and they are however of very good quality.
As for price, you may be right as the ones with no stamp may cost lesser than the other ones having a golden stamp.
However you should be very careful: it could also be the case it is a restored razor and the polishing of the blade may have removed the stamp. To tell whether it is an early production or not, you should pay attention on the shank: early production "mark" is different from "late production".
