Taskrom you picked up some nice wedges! I have a Wostenholm with the same etching as yours, but mine was so rusted that I didn't know what it was. It cleaned up fairly well, but not nearly as nice as yours.

My oldest is a near wedge that shaves really smoothly. Ashton & Jackson Improved Silversteel. Great razor.

Hi, wedge fans, I have gotten a beautiful W&B near wedge.
She has gave me a completely different sensation on shave. And I like it!
I hope some nice days for all of you.

Default my first razor joseph rodgerson and sons wedge

So i in the recent weeks coming upto xmas decided to start collecting and restoring razors.
I did like most ametures do and went on ebay and snaped up some razors.
this being one of them i went straight into trying to remove the scales so i could clean the tang up and persisted in completely destroying the original ivory scales (big oooopppppsssss sorry everyone) lesson well learnt.
however i did have some old antique bone lying around and persisted to make the scale you see in the image ( first attempt to) im happy with the way they turned out.
anyway back to the hand restored blade this took forever with several grades of wet and dry paper but i did this because i dident want to over heat the blade and also dident want to lose the shaping on the angles as they where really nice. and so with out any more bable. this is a Joseph Rodgerson and Sons 0.7inch (appologies i dont use inches)

ps: has anyone got a better place to pick up unrestored wedge razors at resonable prices other than ebay im uk based

Just cause I like to be in the club too. Here's a project for next winter. This winter's already full.
Manhattan Cutlery 7/8 Sheffield wedge. It has a blade etch that says Prince Albert, plus other things I'm sure, that I can't see anymore. I don't think it'll even say Prince Albert when I finish with it. Maybe I'll have a tumbler by then though...who knows.

When is the razor considered to be a "wedge"? Many photos make the blades appear to be somewhat "hollow" ground.

There are very few "true" wedges out there, most people feel like if the blade is more triangular than "t" shaped, it's a wedge. 1/4 hollow and less, basically.

The closest I have to a true wedge is this one:
