Default My 4th straight razor and first Boker.

Got it for $19 at a local antique mall.

    The case says:
    H. Boker & Co's
    Unrivaled Razor

There are a few small nicks on the edge that I can see with my eye, but don't think I could pick them up with my camera.
The scales need to be replaced, it has glued crack in it, which wouldn't bother me but the one side is warped, also.

Does anyone know how well this model shave? Was this a good purchase?

    Thank you, nate

New member, but I've been lurking for a bit. Somewhat new to straights, only been using them for about a month, but found this item yesterday...

Boker 9 TE 5, original coffin, original 1/2 dozen packaging from the seller (these sold for $2.50 when new):

I was hoping someone might be able to help me figure out how old it is, and what the scale material is. I think it might be real amber.

    Default Boker King Cutter

Just got back from the Rose Bowl Flee Market. Picked up a new old stock Boker King Cutter, a Filarmonica Doble Temple and two other razors.

The Boker has not been honed but when they ground the edge looks like the fellow hesitated during the pass there is a slight step about 3/8 inch long and about 1/3 of the bevel deep from the tip back.

How do you recommend starting on this to avoid excessive wear.

The shadow in the third picture shows the step.

I formally request permission to join the Brotherhood, just got this off Ebay.

Once I get it my hot little hands it will be off to Onimaru55 for a restoration. Then it's all mine
