Hahaha...yes, for myself who just wrote the other day that I was going to be more particular about the razors I buy now, seems I've about 3 too many, "couldn't go wrong", and "couldn't that resist for $$" type thing...just what I need, another razors that will be used once every 8 weeks!!! Think I'll just go back to living in denial...

Going to get it fixed up, honed, and restored, as the inlays are somewhat coming off the tang.

It's a King Cutter with MOP inlays, it's a 5/8, description says between 1924-35, scales look like bone, not sure.

Anyhow, anyone have any info on this blade?

edit: seems there's one above with the MOP tang...interesting?

The MOP tang doesn't bugs me, but I don't think the scales are made of a natural matter, looks like more plastic for me.

Picked up as an impulse buy. The blade looks to be in good shape, with a bit of frown, but no knicks or anything else.



Not sure about the age of it. The tag said 1880s, but I haven't been able to match the tree up to anything that I've been able to find on the web.



I'm excited to get it cleaned up and honed so I can give it a try.

I've seen the chart. The closest wording is G9 or 17, but mine does not have the Solingen on it. As well the tree looks different with less development up the left side. I should note that there is no marks on the back of the blade.

To me, I know the blade is of good quality so that's the important bit. The age of it is just a nice to know.

Got my first Boker on order as we speak. Order myself a King Cutter. Its pretty basic but it is my first one.
